Make It Work *Wiring

Okay I purchased what is suppose to be a 50mw green laser Diode.

I recivied it in the mail and of course it is just the dioid not like a laser pointer at all yet.

Im curious if it is possible for me to wire this to a simple 12 v square battery...

Just to see if it works all they gave me in the purchase was a dioid and a red and black wire..

How do I wire this thing to shot a beam thank you

First,

Are you sure it is a GREEN laser diode? Usually those are VERY pricey.
It is probably a green module instead.

If it is a module, you need to find out what the input is supposed to be, usually 3v like a couple AA batteries or something like it.

If it is actually a diode (small round and has two or three pins sticking out with a window on the front. You are going to need a whole lot more parts to make it work and lots of information on it.

No, you won't be able to just hook up a 12v battery. Post a link to what you have.

How about posting some pics of what you bought and a
Link to where you bought it...

Them we can figure out exactly what you received and how
to power it correctly..

All Laser Diodes are not created the same....
