Yeah, it's likely overspec. 20mW+ would be a decent estimate.

Awesome. My lazerer laser burned out and I want a new cheap green pointer. If the diode is burned, is there any way of saving it? All I can see is a green dot in the middle of a red circle.

...Uhhhh nope?

Might be an alignment problem. Be careful as that red you see is IR, and is actually MUCH more powerful than it appears.

Yeah, it's likely overspec. 20-250mW would be a decent estimate.

Either it's twilight zone day, or I think you've got an extra zero in there ;)

250mW of 532, for $10, on ebay?

It's not impossible. I have one in that style and it peaks at 205mW.

Though it is labeled as 5mW, and it is $10 so I guess 250mW is a high estimate :p

I bought about 15 different "5mW" ebay lasers and two were the same as those , my guesstimate is 60-90mW , i dont like how you have the key and the switch type, i recomend you spend another 6 buck and get one with tail clickie, that puts out around 80-100mW i will hav a look for one to recomend later
