Hey guys, this is pretty much my first day on the forum, read up on some FAQs and such, was surprised by the regulations for countries but whatever. Right now, I have 2 lasers. 1 5mw Green cheapie e-bay laser that is... okay... and some trash $2 cat toy red laser. I'm looking to spend between $40-60, but don't know what to get. I'm thinking along the lines of green as I don't need to burn or pop any thing and am more intrigued by the visual than anything. I'll post pictures of the lasers I have. But I was looking at a couple, especially that "green beast".

I'de also take any suggestions from experienced laser users.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the fix, would've sucked to buy the wrong laser.
But I was looking at a couple of pens and I found a couple that looked Alright.
Can you guys give me your input? I'm seriously considering that greenbeast because even with those other batteries it's still only $47 some odd.

1...150 for $27?
Then the battery life is probably shot right, like a couple of hours?

Thanks for all your help. I'm ordering 3 pairs, keeping one and gifting 2. These look like a steal at the price if they really put out 120. Thanks for the help.

IQS lasers so far have been very good. Your laser will pop balloons and melt black electrical tape, it can even light matches if focused with a magnifying glass.

Make sure to get googles if your gonna use it inside the house.

Forgive me as I don't have all the science of lasers down quite yet but is there a benefit to changing the focus with a magnifying glass as opposed to screwing/unscrewing the lens? I am able to focus my green beast #100 (by screwing/unscrewing the lens) to about 6-8 inches away and can light unpainted red matches in about 2 seconds, less if I can hold the laser steady. I'm only running on a 3 volt Tenergy rechargeable, but it would be neat to see what it can do running on 3.7 volt.

Of course I would urge you to wear safety glasses with something this powerful.

@Safety First: Oh, no there is no difference, I didn't know the #100 was adjustable.

I will place another vote for the #100. I have it and the divergence is incredible, the laser quality is FANTASTIC. There's no warm up period, just BAM! Laser!

And it's easily over 100mW.

I love their product so much, that I actually have purchsed two more of their #200's, anticipating their quality :)
