little advice:don't try to open THIS laser(photo)you'll break it.

i bought from ebay at 6$ a gr. laser. it is like a newwish but with SHORT head like ledshoppa.

i tryed to open it but it is IMPOSSIBLE. i broke the focus lense... because the IR diode seems to be fused/melted with the host... or HARDLY.. but really hardly glued. i tried with a screwdriver and a knocker: NOTHING. the ir diode is yet inside it.

so...........if you would "try" to open to potmod a cheap ebay laser......check before if it is my version. see through the aperture beam bole.....if you DON't see the face of a normal diode(with lense and focus system).... don't try to open it because it is a VERY CHEAP module assembled. see my photos

i was tempted to buy a cheap laser and potmod it......like other member did with 5mw DX laser. but i think that the limit 5mw of ebay.... is going to change the factory production to a CHEAPER module/laserpen.... .. sincerely i think is more "safe" to see through the back spring WHERE is the pot... it back on button or near button,and do an hole with a drill

it is the safest way to potmod a laser......

however i will buy other 6$ laser pointer(about 4 from different seller if possible,but many seller do NOT ship to italy!!!!) between a few months--- to sell them to friends(i will NEVER put in a friend's hand more than 5mw laser......it is too dangerous)

because 1st thread was because i would say i broke a laser trying to open it... but it was not written as an "advice" thread t help others... so i though to post in green section...... i don't know if cancel the thread in general section
