i have a dx 30 and was wanting to concentrate the beam a little more. any suggestions? I would prefer a cheap solution that would be easy to use (rather that holding a magnifying glass in front of it ;)).

There's nothing cheaper than what you have. What were you thinking of ?

i was thinking of something better. all i have is a cheap magnifying glass and it doesn't focus real well. I am hoping to light matches as i have seen it done with a dx30 with a lens.

also, what are some cheap hack/mods to up the power? or could you direct me to where this is talked about?

what i did is i had this old binoclar thing with plastic lenses and i cut down one of the fron lenses to fit into a chapstick tube thing (u kno the thing you apply to your chaped lips) anways the chapstik thing is about the perfect side to fit over the dx if you cut it just a lil bit and take out the adjustment thing but leave the hole their (cuts down on scater) but anways i just attachd the lense to the end with some super glue and it works as an exclent burner. but then again it was a dx200 and already burnd but now it burns more : )
