I have been playing around with weapon sights lately and have been wanting to throw an Osram Pl520 into a sight.... well I think lasermax has done this.

LaserMax Announces ?Native Green? Lasers - RECOIL

These green lasers are manufactured with a green laser diode as opposed to the traditional – stay with me here – diode pumped solid-state (DPSS) lasers, which are typically found in the average laser pointer. The new green laser diode is able to avoid many limitations of DPSS technology such as added weight, size and inefficiencies at high and low temperatures. The Native Green lasers emit a laser more easily visible to the naked eye, is more energy efficient and has a less complex construction.

Next question is if they are using the osram diode I wonder if we can figure out a quick and easy method for people to upgrade the driver or do you think it will have a pot :)
