hello
im buying a new green laser. I have 200$ and im looking for a cni pen from techlasers but i see that uses only aaa bateries. I prefer other batteries like rechargable 18650, cr2, cr123. Do you know if are there green lasers (not on dealextreme or kaidomain) that use those batteries for 200$?
thanks

Like Diachi said, stay away from Techlasers, they have sent out a lot of bad units and they ignore emails asking for a return.

There are some green lasers off DX that are around $20-$40 that use those batteries, but they aren't super powerful. (all less than 50mW for those good models)

Check out the alpha series lasers. They run on AA. And you can get rechargeable AA batteries.

Edit: the Alpha series is one of NOVA's products

I had already metnioned the alpha series in my post, but I edited out not knowing about batteries or if it would be classed as a CNI pen or not.

most run off of AAA... The Alpha(AA) series from Nova is $200, but only 65 mW... THe x-100 is 100 mW but runs on AAA's, so with AAA you definately get more bang for your $

Re: Free CNI lasers

I think you can get them pretty cheap off of circuitcity.com

Still, for $6.88 a pack, that's a great deal.

Circuitcity.com doesn't have them anymore (at least I don't think), but a local Circuit City store may have them. Mine still does and they're $6.59 a pack for AAAs and you can get AAs for $7.94, which is still a great deal IMO. Also, my local Walmart had some on their clearance rack by the photo dept, a 4 battery (AAA and AA) charger and 4 AA batteries for $16. It was the good version of the sanyo charger too that has independent charging channels (some newer ones do two at a time).

Also, thought I'd point out, these are no longer made (at least under Sanyo), so they may get tougher to find with time. Duracell now offers a "precharged" NiMH like these, but they're more expensive (like $15 for a 4 pack!), so I'd get these while you can. I have like 24 AAs and 16 AAAs now, I use them in everything! :D
