I have several hand helds,Ive yet to master or be the most knowledgeable about laser I use them for pointing at stars . I have all different mw and Im curious about a particular laser I have its a green <500mw laser from wicked lasers,Ive only tried this on this particular laser I attempted to light a match, pop balloons, light a cigarette and burn through black trash bag which none worked except small holes in black trash bag. Does this mean its not 500mw? Ive had lasers for under 100 dollars that preform better can anyone tell me why. Ive replaced it with a elite e3 500mw which I have not tested yet but it seems to be better. thanks.

Can the laser be focused?

If so, try focusing it

If not, try getting a magnifying glass and using it to focus the laser

Then let us know how it's acting

Peace,

The only way you are going to know if WL lied about their
Laser's output is to test it on a Laser Power Meter.

As daguin stated.. try adjusting the focus or use a magnifying
glass to make the beam as small as possible to increase the
Power Desity to make it burn better.

If the laser says <500mw then it could only be 100mw and still be true.

It would be less than 500mw...

Sorry bud but Wicked Lasers isn't the best place to buy lasers.
