Hello all.

For some time, I want a green laser at low prices. I intended to buy it on DealExtreme or FocalPrice but there is more lasers over 5mW.
I saw that there are lasers on Yourlasers.com, a subsidiary of DealExtreme but there is no secure payment, which does not reassure me at all.
I want a green laser (I have goggles for green rays) between 100mW and 200mW for a maximum price of 65 euros. If you have a laser-like features for less money, it suits me.
It would also be preferable that the laser focus and the batteries are AAA (I already have AAA rechargeable) or rechargeable batteries that are provided. Payment must be secure (so secure platform or Paypal). Since I live in France, I spotted this laser is my maximum budget: Laser pointer Vert 200mW www.gadgetselectroniques.com
He seems to be the same as him:
SD-302 Focusable 200mW 532nm Green Laser Pen Pointer with Battery Set (1*18650) - Free Shipping

What do you think?

Thank you in advance.

Both of those lasers are like playing the lottery.

You may get lucky, you probably won't.

If you want a cheaper chinese laser, there are companies that specialize in lasers specifically, like lazerer.com, o-like.com and rayfoss.com. Those are still relatively very cheap laser companies.

Please also factor in the price of goggles into your purchase. You absolutely do need with a high powered laser.

Thanks for your answer !

I had already ordered a pair of protection against the green rays a month ago in anticipation of my purchase. These are the glasses (I have already received the glasses but I can not test them, with no green laser at my disposal).
It is this model: Laser Promotion Professional Anti Green Laser Glassess

I looked at your sites, they look great, but considering the price I think from most of the 100mW or 150mW.
I'm looking for my budget a good quality laser, preferably focused and with rechargeable batteries and a charger if they are 18650. I don't want a mini-laser.

What do you think about these lasers?
LZGN - 532nm 100mW Focusable Green Laser Pointer
LZCB - 532nm 100mW Focusable Green Laser Pointer
LZCS - 532nm 150mW Focusable Green Laser Pointer
LZCB - 532nm 150mW Focusable Green Laser Pointer

What is the difference between Classic, Bighead, Grenade and Cyber besides the design ?
Is it that I could turn matches, pop balloons with a 100mW laser ?

I'd rather order from Lazerer, I feel that lasers with two other sites are poor quality ...

In summary:
I'll buy a laser on the site Lazerer.com

What is the difference between these lasers:
- Classic
- Bighead
- Grenade
- Cyber

Do you think that is sufficient 100mW or 150mW make a real bonus?

Thank you very much for your answers

Finally, sorry for my bad English! :D

EDIT : Sorry !
The Cyber is waterproof and the Grenade has a safety lock on the back. These two lasers are useless for me.

I think that I am going to buy this laser, that do you think of it?

Classic can take either 16340 battery or 18650 battery.

Bighead IMO looks ugly.

Grenade... it's a great laser in that it has three safety features, but the focusing mechanism leaves a lot to be desired.

Cyber is nice... takes 18650 and waterproof... which means it's a least somewhat weatherproof.

Lasers are A LOT of fun outside in bad weather btw.

Of the four, I would go with cyber being top choice, classic being second choice.

If you never used a powerful green laser before, 100mW is a lot. Don't expect it to light matches to easily, but it should pop balloons, sting when focused, burn black plastic... usual stuff.

I would recommend getting LPM test upgrade.

Get good batteries, and charger elsewhere, although for $5 the battery/charger is not a bad deal.

Now as far as the googles you got... they could be ok, or they could be absolute crap.

Either way they won't protect against IR. So you should still be very very careful with the laser.

I would recommend getting a pair of these: Eagle Pair® 190-540nm & 900-1700nm Laser Safety Goggles

I personally would recommend getting a laser from a site such as O-like.com
I just purchased a laser from InfinitusEquitas who purchased the laser from the website; O-Like.

I have not gotten the laser but after a bit of research, and personal advice from InfinitusEquitas, I've noticed that for the price, the lasers are extremely good.

If you decide to get a new laser, try searching the forums first, you'll know they come from people who take pride in what they do, and it's quality built. Plus, it keeps business "local" ;)

As for glasses, from seeing friends and people who use them, the pair you got I would highly suggest you stay away from. They are cheap, and may be advertised to do what you want. But because it's cheap, there is a great chance you could get hurt.

Remember, you get what you pay for. I purchased a pair of glasses from Eagle Pair-- and they are amazing so far. I haven't received my laser, but I can tell by the weight and feel, they are quality. I'd recommend getting another pair from Eagle Pair; such as the pair InfinitusEquitas mentioned in the previous post.

^^^Matt

The part of the story with o-like that you're not aware of is that I have had a total of eight lasers from o-like pass through my hands.

Of those 8, one was second hand, the rest were direct from o-like.

Of those 7, one was DOA, and FOUR were underspec. The remaining two, one was overspec, and one was actually almost exactly on spec.

I think a 3 out of 7 is a failing grade.

This is all despite the fact that I even offered Susie over at o-like $10 per laser, just to LPM my lasers before shipping them.

I really don't think they bothered to even turn them on.

Also to date got a total of 5 lasers from lazerer. All were on spec or overspec. Having them LPM tested before they are shipped costs $2 or $3.

Delivery time was 12 days, while with o-like for some odd reason even when I paid $22 for express, delivery time 21 days.

So in o-like vs lazerer, strictly based on personal experience... I'm ordering from lazerer.

Even the o-like that you got from me. If it wasn't for the second lens attachment without the waterproofing lens... it would be at best a 1W laser... nowhere near the 1.2W they advertise.

Btw, tossing another one in o-like's court... dealing with their DOA laser cost me $57 just in shipping, first to me and than back.

Hello all !

I thought and finally this is what I think to buy.

These goggles : Eagle Pair® 190-540nm & 900-1700nm Laser Safety Goggles
This tripod : Laser Clamp Mount & Tripod
This laser : LZCB - 532nm 200mW Focusable Green Laser Pointer
And : **Upgrade Pack** 18650 / 16340 li-ion Battery + Charger** + **Upgrade** Power Certificate for Laser Pointer

I've seen many videos about black flash paper ( **10 Sheet** 25cm x 21cm Black Flash Paper ) and I'm really interested.
This article does not exist on another site?

I do have some questions:
- Is it a good choice?
- The laser is it focus? In the photos, I do not feel that it is focus.
- Is it that I would be protected against IR ?
- The laser is it fully waterproof ?

You advised me to buy a LPM. I looked and saw that it meant "Laser Power Meter". I realized that it measured the laser power, but it cost terribly expensive! $ 200! It will he serve me knowing that I intend to only have this laser (maybe later a red laser if I like it) and I will do an evaluation of the laser?
Finally, you advised me to take good batteries. Do you have a link to a good model?

Thank you very much and have a nice day! :)

EDIT :
There is also a new laser, the Rifle:

Then the Cyber or the Rifle?

Looks like an overall good selection of items to buy.

The laser focuses by turning the top part. You will see this when you have it.

Flash paper is fun... search youtube.

I would not expect any laser to be fully waterproof... take underwater at your own risk.

For batteries, AW brand are best. You can buy them from lighthound.com or batterjunction, or a bunch of other sites... just need to google a bit.

Now as far as the LPM goes, look up LPF member Laserbee... his usb version is ~$150 shipped.

Thanks for your answer.

I know that flash paper is fun ! Exactly, I wanted to know if other stores sell it :)
Thanks for the batteries, perhaps I would buy AW 18650 and UltraFire WF 139 !
And what is the most powerful laser between the Cyber and the Rifle ?

Thanks ! :p
