Is this laser focusable?

It is NOT focusable.

You will need a single 3.7V rechargeable battery to power it at the full output

2 @ AA batteries is only 3V total. It wants a minimum of 3.7V

Peace,

AFAIK, you would have to make something or find a focusable host/housing that will hold that module

Peace.

Doesnt that front lens focus the beam??? I had one that was out of focus and tweaked that lens to get a tighter beam.

If you bust away this drop of glue, you CAN turn the lens and adjust the focus.

It's just not as comfortable as having a nice focus ring for that purpose.

You can heat the tip up to soften the glue. Just dont use a lighter. :undecided:

You dont bake it, LOL. Try a low heat source, like a hair driver or something.

Or a very localized kind of heat, like the tip of a soldering iron.
Then finish it off wit a sharp knife.

Epoxy glue tend to dissolve/soften around 70-90C, if it is some kind of locktite it can be cracked with the correct size screwdriver.
(That is my experience from cheap greens and hosts.)

The module is likely already focused to a nice beam.
Using that lens "on the go" is just not practical, perhaps it can be fitted into a zoom-amble host?

I have ideas for this one.
A12 Cree Zooming 3-Mode Convex Lens LED Flashlight with Clip(1*18650) $12.37 Free Shipping
Replacing the 18650 with a 16340 is likely to leave room for a green module.
You just have to figure out how to turn out a heatsink/sleve.
