Hello. I need an advice. From lockerz i received 50$, i should receive PSP, but well...anyway, better than nothing. So, what laser can i buy for 50$, that shipping would be free to Europe (Lithuania), or maybe laser would cost 30$, shipping 20$ and etc... So, what strong laser can i buy for 50$ ? because as i heard, from DX, only green lasers up to 30mw are good. I got 5mw green laser, that is extremely awesome, i like it ! only damn, it "eats" much battery, even durracell runs out fast ! So, what without DX ( maybe i'm just wrong about DX) can u advice for me ? and no ebays, i don't trust those. I want a laser that could light up a match, but i don't think that i can get it from somewhere else than DX, but DX lasers are bad quality... as i heard... Anyway, minimum mW must be 50.... Thanks !

EDIT : and ofc, i need laser, that would be powered up by batteries that are sold in Europe (Lithuania) too...

Well do you want a laser that's bright (green) or that can burn (red, violet) for that price?

Either way, take a look at O-like.com, they sell great lasers for cheap, you should be able to pick up either a 50mW green, 200mW red or maybe an 80mW violet if you want to spend some dollars more.
You should also definately get some rechargeable batteries, that's much more simple and cheap. Look at dealextreme.com for that.

Grix, i would like green for most, but i think violet would be ok too... but i couldn't pay more than 50$, so will i find a good price for violet ?... Red would be in the last place...

Nefarious, the page doesn't load, but well, i see that it's red laser, idk... if i won't find violet or green, then i will look on reds :)

Ok now... I'm interested with these ones :

Tactical Ultrafire host Green laser 50mW£*>5~200mw green laser pointer£*>Laser&lighting products£*>www.0-like.com

Could this greenie do something interesting, without long distance, good beam and exploding balloons ? could it light match ? And how much would cost batteries with recharger, because i couldn't pay more than 7$ for recharger with batteries...(Because on Lithuania, such batteries are not in sold)

Now, what about these ones, i know, DX one doesn't have charger... But well, which one would be better ?

1. O-like 180~200mW red laser focusable with charger and batteries

2. DX 200mW red laser focusable, pops ballons and lights matches

3. O-like NEW style 180~200mw red laser focusable

Now, is 3 number better, or it changed only by style?

By the way, waiting for advices for violet lasers, humansymphony, if i don't buy from amazon or ebay, then ofc i don't buy from people, only companies, just for safety... waiting for advices ;]

For the ultrafire, you would need an additional lens for popping balloons (magnifying glass would work). But for $50, it would be really hard to find a good quality laser that powerful. As for the red, get the "new style" (the last one). It's the same inside parts as the old style, but I've heard that the head feels more solid and that it's significantly better than the old.

I found out its was a contact issue when my laser pen was eating batteries. When it gets dim, take a pencil eraser and clean the threads, then screw it back together and see if it brightened up. Worked great for me, and my batteries are lasting 5X longer than they were.

Cleaning threads does not effect battery maH, only the conductivity of the host.

Right, but it will give the illusion that the batteries are dead when they are not. Its a common problem. When you unscrew it to change the batteries, it will loosen up some of the oxidation so when you put fresh batteries in it will obviously work again, till it oxidizes again.

tech, thanks for advice, i'll try to do it :) i think it's the same problem for me, because when i unscrew the laser, take out the batteries, and add it again, the laser works perfect ! i though the coldness did it for my laser, but, now i understand, that oxidizes :) Ok, thanks for everyone, u helped me alot :) and if someone will check the thread (not laser thread, but forum thread :D ), then the last question, how much tooks o-like shipping to Europe? faster than DX ? or the same ? or random ?
