A clearly visible beam outdoors in broad daylight? Good luck with that. At night inside or out, sure. Inside during the day with the curtains drawn, sure. But outside during the day, it'll be really tough to see the beam.

do not... do not pot mod. if u just spend lie 20 bucks on a 30 mW, and pot mod it,,,,, u will break it... WILL BREAK IT. then u will go back to like ebay, wanting a working laser, then spend the 90 or more on it. im 16, and studying radiation and such, and the crappy pump diodes that are put into cheap lasers are junk. i got my first good laser from NewWish, for $120 usd, off of ebay.

basically, please do not mod, get a 100mW newwish laser, and you will be happy. i can pot mod mine, but it is rated for over 10 thousand hours now, and if i mod it to 150mW, then i will only have 2000 hours on it.

MODDING IS BAD!

so, powerwise, i have a tad bit under 100mW, about 96mW, and i can hit the clouds, and see the beam clearly in a room lit with light at night. i can also see the full beam while its going up to the clouds.

my friend has a 70-73mW newWish laser, and his can hit the clouds, but his beam is not as visible... if you want to be happy, and impress your friends, go for at least 75mW

good luck

Legit. However, I would not recommend buying a New Wish laser, as they are generally crap, unless purchased through Optotronics. I would recommend an X75 or an X100 from NOVAlasers. NOVA has a very good rep, and they even test your laser for you and tell you the power output. Don't buy a New Wish. 'Nuff said.
