They seem to be stepping up quickly in terms of power at KD.

The price tag is quite hefty though... well worth it if they actually perform, but i'd be affraid to get a lemon and be stuck with it - not a pleasant idea considering the amount of money involved.

Man, that is one short, fat torch style laser.

400mW though... I wouldn't pay $660 for it. At least not from that company :)

For some reason the pictures won't load, is anybody else having this problem?

Look at the dimensions! According to them that laser is over 7 feet long!

Yea at $660.00 there is no way I'd give them that much money for it, I'd go to Optotronics and get the real thing; However if the price was much lower I think they would get some buyers for it.

If you get a bad one or it really doesn't put out 400mw w/o mod-hopping etc, etc; I think your going to be out alot of money.

The picture sure does look exactly like the one straight off of Viasho's website, I highly doubt it is made by them at all. The dimensions they list are laughable at best;

Length: 85.1"
Width: 15.37"
Height: 15.37"
Weight: 17.64oz

Maybe it comes with a carry sling to put over shoulder to handle it. ;D

If they can't even get that correct, what would make anything think it is a True 400mw Laser, Viasho or not.

Actually " is inch and ' is foot. ::) I just think it's a typo, they probably mean mm.And that black thing is an aperture shutter mikey.

Well I don't know, it's cheap as hell for a 400mW, but still not worth the risk.At that money I'd rather pay a little more and get a RPL-200 than risk getting stuck with a fubar unit.Maybe if it was something like $350 or something....

Well, it also says Length 217cm.. That is two meters and actually is 7 feet. :)

But like others, i am worried about the quality.. These manufacturers seem to be able to do lower powers ok, but the higher the power, the more mode hopping you can expect.

If it was DX i would be more willing to risk it.

is KD worse about letting you return an item than DX? Usually when something new shows up on KD, its only a matter of time before DX has it anyway.
