If you click on the price sold it says he bought it for 4.57$

I think sellers do this when they run out of stock, this seller just added a couple of fours in front so that no one will buy it until they restock. This way they don't have to pay more fee's to re-list it.

It's actually a VERY common practice. It's not even always about the fees, but also about having to recreate the listing from scratch.

On discontinued items, that are marked up this way, it actually does lead to a small number of sales, for very specific items, since people call in or email to find out about it, and are usually turned onto a different option.

The one Laser the eBay seller did sell went for $4.57...
I can't see that the seller is out of stock after selling
just one...
