Mw when you get it, just go ahead and rip out that module and stuff a 1w 445 in there :eg:
Only kidding.

Glad to hear its so close. Now that you will finally have it, this will just be another horror story to tell the next guy asking about wicked lasers.

I ordered my 2W Arctic roughly the same time as you. My thinking is checking the order status daily and stressing wont make it arrive any faster. It'll get here when it gets here. At least their lasers are up to spec (or over) now.

LOL true!

It's just the horror stories, now I know my self by learning the hard way.

How is your order getting on then?

But I used a e2 I ought from eBay that wasnt working. I don't know if I'd do it to one that working fine . ..... Maybe

Not five minutes after I submitted that post I got my tracking number from wicked lasers. According to the USPS it arrived in South Carolina on the 17th. I'm assuming that's where the United States customs is.

Can anyone make sense of this? Apparently was expected to be delivered at my address in Oregon on the 21st. What language would determine whether or not it has cleared customs yet? Dispatched to sort facility is very vague.

And is up to spec so far, lights matches burns black tape (when using my Arctic focusing lense)

I will do some videos over the weekend.

Not that bad after all!

You cant say up to spec without a LPM. You can say up to expectations but not up to spec. A 50mW 445nm will light a match, 100mW will cut tape, 200mW will melt plastic. Based on what you have said we can say you have at least 200mW of power there, however without a LPM you cant say much more

I compared it to my 70mW green and the EVO is much brighter,

You are correct I can't tell it's exact power, but what we can always do is check to see what it can burn that gives a rough estimate. It easily lights matches cuts black tape in seconds.

Like I said I will do some videos on it over the weekend and even post my best honest review.

I've not even messed around with the smart port yet, the host is very nicely made!

So far I love it, didn't expect it to be as powerful as this remember it's a 50mW (and it's WL's are know for under spec lasers)

But one thing, it said on the website that it comes with safety glasses (I already have 4 pairs) Mine did not come with them though..

Neither does the bluetooth module - only the smart port, cable, sticker manuals - holster and strap.

I wonder if any bluetooth module will work?

Rough estimates stop at 200mW since after that there are no tests. There is no 2x4 ignition test, there is no over 200mW test, that's the point I was making. Only way to test something is with a LPM. Send it to a member with a LPM and you will cry. You are better off thinking you got something up to spec since if you do send it off, it'll break your heart.......its just the facts

Lol I would not go that far, we will never know... Or will we?

I need to get LPM to test my other lasers too... Not a chance of buying one here in the UK, unless I get one imported... It will cost me quite a bit but it's what I need.

Do you know where I could buy one? silly question as I live in the UK :(

As has been said, guessing won't give you figures. However... if you can light incense, a candle, melt holes in carpet/furniture and with some perseverance set dark paper on fire, you at least have a fair amount of power. I can do all of the above with my 1.6W blue from laserbtb, and I don't have the steadiest of hands. It gets interesting with the beam "unfocussed" - at infinity it'll still melt tape, light matches and turn carpet to cinders... as I have rather inadvertently discovered lol. A beamstop is a MUST with these lasers, else you'll burn something precious or even cause a fire.

I don't have an LPM partly because of cost but partly because of what Livinloud says - if I were to LPM my lasers and they were underspec I'd be pretty miffed. At least without knowing the exact figures I don't obsess about it and since the lasers meet my expectations and do what is generally accepted for their spec, I'm not too fussed at the moment. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. As long as I can photograph the beams and frazzle stuff when I need my spirits lifting all's good.

Since when does a seller pay for shipping and the shipper say oh sorry, we don't have the tracking info yet, we will send it to you in 3-5 days.

That actually happens with most chinese companies that use a freight forwarder/consolidator. It keeps shipping costs down by quite a bit.

Have never encountered that and I have bought thousands from china. Maybe I just deal with the good companies, who knows?

I'm defiantly guilty of obsessing over output. I'm constantly checking all my lasers religiously to check for any signs of diodes degrading. I have OCD about it bad. When I check, one, it reminds me of another, then another, until my floor is covered in open cases and batteries, and lasers, and dmms, and lpm, and.....and.....and.... Yeah it's bad.
