Yeah no crap, they import them as "flashlights" or "torches". They break the laws to import them, does it make it right, no. PLUS that has nothing to do with what I said. The difference between what I said and what you said is; YOU- focused on if they are illegal or not and importing them, ME- focusing on the fact you are admitting to a CC company that you are doing something illegal, which by law they have to report.

They can be illegal here too, just got one in the mail today and it was claimed as a "flashlight". I can post the packing slip/customs form if you want but that's not the point. I dont call my CC company and say "hey question, I bought a high powered laser and it didnt ship yet. Can you block my payment and get me a refund or help me out?"

PLUS dont give me the whole "So don't give me that garbage, they may be illegal... " since I have been helping you out this whole time. Sorry I pointed out a flaw in your grand plan, sorry I'm helping protect you arse from getting in trouble with the law. Continue as you please and I'll just butt out, good luck with legal troubles OR you could reread it and realize I am just helping

EDIT:
Wow really? yet other people have imported from WL into the UK? I have also had many lasers from China in the past.

Thousands of people commit suicide/crimes/murder in the UK as well, want to give that a try or do you realize that its not right and isn't something you should try. Legality doesn't have anything to do with it, people break the law on the daily!

It looks like your the one that needs to read back, other members told me to contact my CC company. This did not come to mind - because I never knew I would have to go through all this bull shit with them.

Read back, and find the advise I was given from a a fellow member!

You are trying to help? but from your previous comment, you go on to say " oh they are illegal and all this blah blah... Trying to make me feel worse? that I won't get my items or what? They are illegal yes...

So what should I say to the CC company then? seen as you say all that above.

I look forward to your reply.

Smart ass!

Yanking your chain man, thats BS. There is no "process" with shipping high powered lasers since they claim them as flashlights anyways. If it was claimed as a "laser" high powered or not then US customs would take it and destroy it.

EDIT: you are in the UK, but the UK customs would do the same thing. Tell him you want the tracking info now or you are going to file a claim with your CC company and they will take the money back. CALL YOUR CC COMPANY FIRST to make sure they can do this. I know they do in the US. Just tell them you bought a flashlight from hong kong and it was supposed to ship 2 weeks ago, the seller keeps beating around the bush and you are worried they are trying to waste time so you cant file a claim. Ask how long you have to file a claim and what the process is. Thank them and hang up. Debate what you want to do and then call back if you decide to go that route

I rest my case.

What your case is missing is I didnt say tell them you bought a high powered laser. READ the next line and you will see what I REALLY said

Oh thats right, I said tell them you bought a FLASHLIGHT NOT A LASER! If you are going to try and prove me wrong, you need to have something to support your claim. I admit when I say something wrong but this time sir, I am right and you didnt read your own proof.

WL wont say they sold you a laser since when a company can connect an illegal activity to a source then they will block all future transactions. WL also labels their packages as flashlights or torches (same thing) so the shipping company will say it was a flashlight as well (thats what it is claimed as)

Game, set, MATCH!

I just got into a ful fledged argument with a guy all bent out of shape that dragon wasnt shipping on time. Not getting lasers really can make a guy sensitive.

Well, should have bought from a trusted source to begin with (why buy when you are skilled enough to build ). I have been in MANY arguments over buyers who panties are all in a bunch. In the end I normally get a PM saying sorry for how they acted. No hard feelings with any of them, I mean in the end they spent more money for a laser, had the headache of dealing with the company and got less of a laser than what I can get in building the same thing, PLUS it would look 100x better :)

Well I'm not that stupid to tell them I bought a laser, but if they really wanted to know they could find out easily by the transaction and look what I purchased... It's not that hard is it?

Wicked Lasers also sell a Torch flashlight. If your worried about it tell them it was for the flashlight. I really doubt the credit card company is going to give a rats ass what you ordered. I can see the headlines now "man put in prison for buying flashlight". Haven't you ever been married ? If so you should be able to come up with your own believable story without missing a beat. Heck sometimes I amaze myself and I even believe what comes out of my mouth.:D Good luck, hope you get it sorted. I'm sure your frustrated about it, I would be. No need to take your frustration out on members that are only trying to offer advice.

WL are telling me, it will arrive by the 13th of next month or before.

If it comes on that date it will be 35 days after I ordered!

Which is then 1 week to process and 4 weeks to receive it lol

I'll just have to wait it out even more lol
