Hi I am new here and this is my first post.

I am ooking to buy my first green, portable laser pointer. I would like to know which portable green laser poiner has the brightest and most solid beam that is the easiest seen and most visible. I know almost nothing about laser pointers and all I now is that I need something at 300 dollars (US) or less that is portable with the thickest/brightest green beam.

Like I said in the title, I am visually impaired so the isibility and how solid the beam is in the air is very important to me.

Thanks in advance everyone and glad to be part of the community.

Are you looking for something visible at night or do you want something visible in the day? If you are looking for one with a beam visible in bright lighting you won't be able to get one at that power unfortunately.

What exactly are you looking to do with the laser? This will be helpful for us to know so we know what to suggest for you.

in general all green are pretty bright usually you want a tight beam so after sat 50 foot the divergence is still great i have two of these types cni aka nova tech ect  get a 75 or a 100 you wont be dissapointed if you want to do a little burning popping balloons lighting flash paper all the good stuff a 75 or the x100 will do you well  ::) :p :-? ;D ;) ;D ;) :)

oh ask magdalena i think is her name From nova for the free case and free shipping win win win situation

uh oh here come the Vultures lol

ok so a little burning would be nice but mostly the most important thing is the visibility of the beam. so if i wanted a beam that was visible in the daylight... how much would we be talking? because i assume if the beam is visible in the daylight, it will definitelybe visible in the dark/nighttime as well.

One other question... does higher mW mean a brighter beam or more visible? because i know it means that it's more powerful and the higher ou go, the more you an burn, but does taht also mean the beam is more visible?

Well the beam won't be visible in daylight but it would definitely be visible at night. I've burned my math homework with my 100mW red but it wont go up in flames unless you have a match right over it. :D

ok so lets say i stick with NovaLasers because from what i've read they are a good/reliable brand and they have the best prices. i was thinking RPL i hear they are great but they don't take AAA batteries which is what I prefer because I can buy the e2 lithium batteries and the laser pointer wil last a long time and i dont have to worry about a rechargeable battery losing it's charge over time.

so of the novalasers (or ANY that take AAA batteries and have good prices) which would be the lowest i could go and till be able to light matches?
