Looking at his status he's still online here after more than 5 hours.

The status might be wrong. I noticed this with members who are working for shops we are buying from. For some of them it always shows on, even if it´s 3 AM a their location. So far I don´t think they are on that late if they have to go to work each morning.
However. Jhoke, you must explain it more detailed so someone here can help. Jacob already explained it. Wavelength means the color. Also what power surce? Batteries? And if so which size?

Would it work to simply buy something like this?
5mW 532nm Green Laser Module (3V 11.9mm) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme
At 5mW (power) it would be about as harmless as you can get (though you still need to avoid exposure to your eyes because this could be a bit more powerful than the advertised 5mW)
- It would be a green beam (532nm is the wavelength of common green lasers).
- You would use a 3V lithium ion battery, or two AA / AAA regular batteries.
- It's relatively small, as you requested, and it has two wires for the power source.
- There is a button built-in, but you could disable this button physically (with tape), or electrically (with solder across the button pins)

Then you need to do a better job of explaining what you want, and why our suggestions don't work.
Exactly. This module above fits into a laserpen housing, which has about the size of a pen. You simply can buy such a pointer. Here an example of a cheap 200mW version. 200mW 532nm Green Laser Pen (2*AAA) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme
Of course they are selling 5mW pens too.
So if you are just looking for a penstyle pointer go with these. Else explain us in detail why you need something special. Not just vague answers.
