i need help with 200mw laser please

hi i got a 200mw laser pointer, i have an issu with it, when i use it it doesnt always work to its 100% capacity, like ill press the button the beam will be super bright then it dimes down alot, but it doesnt do that all the time like maybe 1 out of 2 times, the other time itll work 100% fine no issu.. any ideas ??

Could be due to driver overheating.

BTW，dont make 2 threads of the same thing. You will not only not get the answer faster, you will also piss people off

Sigh! Look up DPSS(diode pumped solid state) lasers! They act according to the temp! They usually like to be warm.. usually... Try keeping it in your pocket for 20 mins with fresh batts... then try!
edit: also be an awesome member and include your location and maybe go into welcome forum. A little goes a long way

Probably is mode hoping, what is normal, learn more about DPSS lasers and you will find out why this happens. Is this a focusable laser or a fixed focus one?

Yes, it could be that or just the usual DPSS
stability problems, as others have already
