I hope that the fan does not start making noise after few months of use as often happens in some computer external units ...

Don't count on it ^^
It will be allright and work longer then the laser diode itself wich = (Expected Lifetime 6,000 hours)

If it does fail (wich is possible with all laser units or for that mather any electronic equipment)
You have waranty.

All in all, i don't see mine crapping out on me over time.
It will when it's faulty from the beginning.

They test it 3 × 20 min before they ship it to you.

Ohh and + (p.s.)

Sinds it's so well Packaged!
You will have a good one.
It comes with testing documents and everything..
I believe most dammage comes from bad packaging overseas.

Laserglow has a High Reputation sinds you pay for it.

Wow :kewlpics:

That one is really crisp. What camera are you using?
Hi there, my sister shot that picture (came over for dinner) with here samsung galaxy 9000 ? sellphone.
It's nice that you like it.
I asked her to take one from underneath but she didn't. (she fears the beams)
I lied down there myself and it was pure eye pleasure seing those beams spreading i can tell you.

That's the only picture that was shot with the samsung phone ^^ Nice eye ;)

That was from a phone? That's amazing quality for a cellphone camera! I get worse quality from my Kodak camera :scowl:

I'm just curious: it's difficult to mount the 10x adapter? There is the possibility to scratch the host?
How about the beam after mounting 10x adapter? It start big and end very thin? I have read that the 10x expander offer an excellent burning capability also at great distances (like 100 ft and so on ..)

Mounting the beam expander is easy.

First you (ofcourse) open the lens shutter on the laser itself.
Then you put the Beam expander over the lens shutter.
There are 3 screws that need screwed down onto the host.
These screws are Nylon-Tipped Mounting screws so you won't damage the host.

Nylon-Tipped Screw example.

But before you do that, you want to make sure the expander and the laser (beam) are aligned.

So you put the laser 1 meter from the wall (White wall is first choise without burning stuff ^^)

*AND MAKE SURE TO PUT SAFETY GLASSES ON!*

Now you make the laser dot as big as possible true the expander.
This way you can align the beam going true the expander.
When you have a nice big round dot, you screw the Nylon tipped screws tight.
When that is done you can adjust the distance you want to burn or shine at on the expander itself by twisting it.
Once you got the desired focus point there's another nylon tipped screw to secure that setting.

The beam comming out of the laser expander is Big from the beginning and get's tighter as it goes.

Yes it will burn over long distances with it :)
