New to the forums here!

Last week, I was so pumped because I ordered my Nexus 95mw laser from WL. Then the next day I found this forums....you can all probably imagine what I was thinking..."I made a mistake!". Then I thought maybe I might get one of the nicer units...maybe even an upgrade!

Friday: The laser arrived. Open it....I did get upgraded to a fusion! How cool! So I get new batteries and start attempting to pop balloons and light matches. I found some dark colored balloons thinking I won't need to use a sharpie to aid the popping....After several tries, I couldn't pop it no matter how close or far I was, so I resorted to a sharpie, which then took about 3 seconds to pop the balloon from about 6 inches. I then try some matches, and was once again disappointed that I could not light a single one WITH sharpied tips. So, I kept it for this weekend to show some friends since they wouldn't really know the difference. This so-called fusion is definately underpowered.

I have decided to RMA it and get a full refund. I plan on ordering an x105 from Nova lasers, due to all of the positive experiences I have heard along with the awesome prices.

Of course, I'm not going to place another order yet until I get my money back. Has anyone had any experiences with returning a laser to WL for a full refund? From what I've seen people haven't had trouble, but how long might it take?

welcome to LPF!! nova is certainly a good choice - do remember that they give us LPF people a discount code to use (warp5 i think) which gives us 5% off :) i think one person has managed to get a refund from WL. but others have had huge problems, with WL doing all they can to avoid giving a refund. so good luck, i really hope they don't give you too much crap!!

Yea, they are already replying in the emails, "We will replace your laser free of charge for a fully tested unit." This is going to be difficult...

Well, from my experience (via a good friend, Merl) If you fall prey to that, then they may just tell you that you cannot get a full refund period - I think there is some tiny print - or at least INFERRED that you cannot get a refund after you have RMA'd it once. It WILL be difficult - but if you wish to get a full refund - you will have to stand your ground, and insist on one.

Yea, I will definately stand my ground with them....I hate talking to car....oops I mean "laser" salesmen.

I decided to amuse myself with their "live chat feature". Good English with the representative!

--John: did you send an email to our support department regarding this case?
--you: yes, but 1 response per 24 hours is a bit slow, and I know I must send it off before 7 days, as I received it on friday
--John: you dont have to worry, because it doesnt matter how long did you get the response from them because we based on the date that you send your email for RMA no. request.

I read it 4 times before I got an idea what was being said.
