I would have to say those goggles are great for a green laser. i had an alpha 105 and i had no problems with the nova glasses.

Let me know how you like them if/once you receive them.
Im moments away from pulling the trigger and ordering myself a pair of those as well, but would like to know if they are at least comfortable to wear.

I just got these today.
they are very comfortable and have a "rubbery" feel to them wich I like.
wouldn't mind having a pair of these that were normal sun glasses either.

They look pretty nice. once i get the money i will have to order a pair once i get the money, i plan on playing with some more powerful lasers in the near future. I have often thought about trying to have lenses made for the sunglasses i have already. They are a fairly expensive pair of sunglasses with interchangeable lenses. It would be nice but i think buying these will be easier.

NO!!!! Those goggle are only OD 4 for 532nm  (or a green laser light) They may be fine for blue and uv but they are inadequate for a green laser. Taking a 120mW green beam to the eye through those means your eye still gets between 17-18 mW of rod deadening power. Enough to cause PERMANENT DAMAGE TO YOUR EYESIGHT. :'( (not trying to be rude but I can't stress that point enough.) You need goggles that have at least OD 4 @ 532nm for a 120mW green.

Linkreincarnate, i believe that OD2 is suitable for up to 500mW as the transmitted light would be (total light * 10^-x) where X is the OD of the goggles.

edit: (500mW *10^-2 = 5mW, which is the widely-accepted safe limit, provided your eyes close quickly...)

no the equation is natural log(max power output/amount of light that you are okay with entering your eyes) this give you a safe optical density (in fact this is the equation to determine how much light a certain OD blocks)
so the equation would be (if you are okay with 5mW of 532 in your eye for brief periods) natural log of (120/5) or ln(24). ~3.18 is the OD that will reduce a 120mW to 5mW

How hard is it to not point the laserbeam in you eyes... ?

It's really easy to NOT to point a laser into your eyes....

Just DON'T DO IT.... or turn OFF your Laser....

But.... if you're asking.... how likely is it that you will accidentaly shine a laser's beam into
your eyes... either directly or indirectly (from a reflective surface)......

It is very likely..... You should always wear Laser Safety Goggles designed for protection
at your specific laser's wavelength...

That is just plain wrong. It goes like this:
OD1 transmits 10%
OD2 transmits   1%
OD3 transmits   0.1%
OD4 transmits   0.01%
OD5 transmits   0.001%
OD6 transmits   0.0001%
