Thats just what we need- an idiot giving a child something to put an eye out. They should be arrested for child endangerment and give his lasers to me! Not funny at all.

Agreed. Terrible responsibility with lasers in that home. It definitely doesnt help the laser community with all of the legal problems. (Not wickeds shitty forum, but all of us users)

"Little is using the novalasers x175". You'd think somebody that looked into buying a nice laser would have read about safety somewhere along the way! I can't even believe how stupid this is.

Doesn't Novalasers call you to ask if you have goggles? I thought they did something like that... Either way, this guy is just plain ignorant.

Everytime I see a video like this, I just imagine all lasers being banned for public use in the US or at least stricter laws on higher powered lasers.

Wow, look how close to the kid's eye the red "dragonlasers pulsar 125" (?) hits.

Poor kid for having such a parent...

I wouldn't want my kid to touch a laser of mine. Not only for his or her safety but for my lasers safety! I almost cried when that kid fell on it! but in all seriousness this does screw it up for people in the laser hobby that do take proper safety precautions. No matter how much we stress laser safety there will always be ignorant people like this, witch makes this a battle we can not win.

EDIT: I'm glad to read all the pro-laser-safety comments on the youtube video ever since this was posted this afternoon.

You need to ban idiocy, not lasers.

Unfortunately, idiocy is not so easy to ban (it require a lot of efforts), so law (that usually is unable to do constructive efforts) choosed the easy way and banned lasers :p

wow that is a bad video. with some goggles that'd be ok but not nearly as fun for those participating.

a related video with a green laser distracting birds in flight to control them is pretty neat.
