[THIS IS NOT A SALE THREAD, I SIMPLY WANT AN ESTIMATE]

Hey guys,

I don't think anyone here remembers me, or maybe I was hanging out here way before ya'll; I need some help!

I've really moved on from collecting lasers a long time ago. I had sold all my lasers, except for two, about a year ago. I still have my 95mW Wicked Lasers Executive series NEXUS, and a non working homemade ~150mW @ ~680nm laser.

Well times are tough, and I'm looking for some Christmas money. I want to sell my greenie, but I really don't know how much I can expect. I know when I left, Wickedlasers was going through a bias revolt on their forums, people had started losing interest in their already overpriced lasers, and were sticking to CNI dealers such as NOVA Lasers. Because of all this, and my absence from the board, I have no clue what to expect for my laser.

It's still in, as close as I can tell, the same shape it was in when I got it. I have taken really good care of my baby over the months, maybe year, I've had it. I didn't trust it to Wickedlasers' old dragon case. So I bought an otter box that was designed to hold cigars, and I modified it to hold the laser. It's been compressed in foam for it's whole stored life. There are a few spots where you can see the brass where there is no black finishing, but the laser is still beautiful for being a year or so old.

BTW, for more specs, checkout Wicked lasers Executive Nexus 95mW |

I made that review originally to get some referral points from wickedlasers, but after I had my fallout with them, I removed the referral link from the page. The page however, is still up.

What should I expect to get for this laser? And where should I sell it, I'm a little weary about selling it through a message board. Perhaps I should just post a link to ebay on the buy/sale/trade board here?

Hey, get some pics up of your laser so people can get a good idea of what there buying. As far as I know Wicked lasers have taken a turn on there lasers, and at the moment they are selling generally on spec, they look after the safety of their buyers and from the recent review units sent out are overall pretty decent.

They did drop the price a little on their lasers but there still quite expensive. As for selling the laser of these boards, check out your buyers post count, and there rep before you sell. And make sure you receive payment first before packaging and sending of your laser.

Wish you all the best with the sale :)

He's not trying to sell it just yet.

If you want a buyer, it's always best to get accurate and documented power readings.
If it is in spec, you can probably sell it for a little below the price of a NOVA X100- probably around $150-190.
However, trying to sell a used laser (even one in excellent condition) in the current market is difficult due to the availability of cheap, mass-produced green lasers.
If you intend to sell it quickly, you will have to compete with those prices ($75-100).

E-bay is not the best idea since they remove listings of lasers >5mW.
Your best bet would be to sell it on a forum or somewhere where people will recognize the value of such an item.
