help removing crystals from a older WL leadlight

ok i have a <80mw WL greenie from a year or 2 ago and i hear i can greatly increase the power if i remove the crystals and go to around 808nm i need help basically getting the thing apart and how would i set the focus, other then using a camera to pick the infrared up

I would just sell the laser and buy a 808 build. O-like has a 1W for just over $100.

its not just removing the crystals, but you need to get the collimating lens much closer to the diode too, to get any of the 808nm light out..
<80mw, probably overrated, what pumpdiode could be in there? 250mw? better get a red laser with 300mw, its visible too, so its potentially less dangerous and easier to focus for burning.. and so much less work!

i have a 808 dilda (230mW) brand new i am willing to trade as long as your unit is putting out at least 50 mw i too am in us

oh i cant find the cr2 3v charger though

Customs will not confiscate OEM components.
Your chances are good that your package will arrive without customs delays.

If you do not have experience modifying lasers I would recommend you just buy one.

What you want to do is possible, but is not that simple... and not easy to do without damaging the casing.
