Hey guys, just a quick appeal for some help, i'm the typical noob or whatever when it comes to lasers, and I simply want it to do several classic 'tricks', and I just wanted to check that this site/laser are legit and have are measured before they are sent
OdicForce Laser Emporium - Items - OdicForce Lasers Online Shop

also, will it be able to, from a sensible distance: (i.e, not 5mm away)
  • pop balloons
  • light matches
  • melt thin plastics (i.e black electrical tape)
  • have a visible beam during day (obv not fully lit/full sunlight)

thanks,

Joe

(if it isn't recommended, then could you provide me with some links from the uk that are?)

There are several powers available for that laser, 75-120 mW, which one are you talking about?

Neither of them with have a visible beam outside at daytime.
They will all pop dark colored balloons
The 120mW will probably light some brands of mathces, the lower powered will not unless you use a focusing lense.
They will all melt black plastic, the 120mW will melt faster than the others.

OdicForce is a legit website, or at least so I've heard. Never bought from them myself.

Hi Joecarr,

Yes, it is a legit site as has been pointed out, however, not too many purchases made from members here. I think I recall that people have generally been pleased but do a little search through the, 'Reviews', and, 'Companies', section to see if there is any feedback there. Of course, if you do buy, then do a review yourself. I'm guessing you don't have a Laser Power Meter so won't be able to give accurate output info but you can give us a clue on what the laser will/won't do, delivery speed and customer service etc.

Where are you in the UK?
