hi all

my name is Gary and im a 52 yr old hunter firstly your site is brilliant and very informative but after 2 days of solid reading im still stuck

what im looking for is a laser that works like a cree but in green for searching for those elusive eyes at night so a small point say 1-2" at 5yds about 6-8" at 100 plus yds is there anything out there that basically does this (works like a good flash light ) cos ive had loads of cree type and halogen types that just don't do it

all the best and be gentle with me as im so not up there with you guys ur gods as far as I can tell lol

I'm not sure if the majority of the forum supports this kind of stuff... Don't be surprised if nobody gives you an answer you are looking for. I myself like to hunt, but without anything other than my rifle :)

Yes, you can get one built or do it yourself. DTR lasers sells great modules that allow a laser beam to be unfocussed and thus widened at any rate you would like it two. You could also find some sort of laser on a site with adjustable focus. are you looking for waterproofness to? i know that can be helpful sometimes while hunting. also is there a specific color that keeps animals from being spooked like red? or does it matter?

I don't think you will find a laser that can do that, you would need a high divergence but very high power ,especially if the laser at 100 meters is going to be bright enough to actually see the target. There may be a way ,seems like your asking for a laser spotlight variable in focus much more than a usual spotlight and i don't believe such a laser exists .

yes I think green would be best as it reaches further but my knowledge of building lasers is limited so I would very much like something built or bought from a supplier
and thanks for the comments guys xx
