So I ordered a Laser from LaserPointz.com I know big no no, but it came and worked but now its gone from powerfull and green to a red light no beam no heat or any, thing camara picks up same thing I do. Could it just be the batteries?

IR often shows up as a dim red light, your laser may be dead not sure, check your batteries on it. also a link to the actual laser will help...

Maybe the IR frequency doubling crystal moved out of place and that dim red is infrared light that's not visible to human eyes
green lasers send a IR 1064nm laser through a frequency doubling crystal that reduces the wavelength in half to the 532nm green. If the crystal broke or moved out of place it could just be emitting the IR beam only.

that IR beam is super dangerous! make sure you have safety glasses that cover IR

Yea livinloud has a good point, you may not see IR but it is very dangerous and you NEED googles for it

You should be equally careful with the 532nm as you should with the IR wavelengths ;)
If you see DPSS in a laser's description, get IR glasses. E.g 589,532nm, 593.5, etc
If the crystal is moved out of place or cracked, it's hard to move back into place or repair; I wouldn't be very hopeful.

Correct me if im wrong but if the crystal has shifted or broke and only 1064nm is coming out, wouldn't it be at a much higher power than if the crystal was still there? You are correct that 532nm needs to be handled with extra care due to the IR but if the above statement is indeed true this laser is much more dangerous than when it produced green. Not exactlt sure if my statement is true since im on my phone and about to go to bed but will search into this more in the morning if its not answered when I wale up.

Don't look into the red light !!!

As stated your Xtals probably came loose or shifted and now all you get out is IR.

Check your batteries, put them in something else and see if it works correctly if you don't have a meter to check them with.

@LivinLoud, Actually it's probably safer than it was previously, because the IR was always there, only now you can see it. The laser could be more powerful than before, but only if the crystal were to be removed. The IR is still hitting the crystal, but at an angle that doesn't reflect well. Removed crystal: higher output. Shifted crystal: lower output. They should both be handled carefully, though.
[I maybe wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is correct.]

It would, except the green light is being reflected somewhere else, i.e inside the host. Again, I'm only half sure this is right :D

Yep, everything has to stay somewhere in the system. :D If you were to look inside the laser, the top view of the crystals, you would see green light in there.
