LaserGlow > Wicker Lasers.

I wouldn't buy something from wicked with your money, WL is just full of fail.

Srsly, read all of the threads on how they screwed people with the arctics.

goninanbl00d, I have considered O-Like, but I don't know if O-like has IR filters in their lasers and I would like one, also I would like 100% duty cycle.

I think I'll probably save a bit more and get the Aries. I keep changing my mind between 50 mW and 100 mW. If I got 50 mW I could use a magnifying glass to enhance burning right? I will of course be using goggles.

Thanks.

Yes, a 50mW will be able to pull off basic burning tricks with the help of a magnifying glass.

Also- if you want CNI quality- have you considered Glenn (scopeguy20)'s CNI group buys? You can pick up a PGL-III-C 100mW for $295, and it's just a 100mW Aries without the engraving.

It's expensive compared to what else is available, but it's still damn solid value.

Ok, so Laserglow is out of 100 mW Aries so now I have to choose between 75 mW and 125 mW, what would you choose?

Is OD 2 really enough for some close burning with 125 mW? What if I were to burn for a few hours?

thanks!

OD 2 should be fine so long as you don't stare into the beam, or try to burn something reflective. If you manage to do either, you should not be playing with lasers.
