That is not a wicked laser. And unless you bought it from wicked lasers website, it most likely is not a wicked laser.

That is all imitation stuff and is not real wickedlasers stuff.

A evo on ebay would be pulled, there are no lasers allowed on ebay stronger than 5mW.

There are no laser pointers above 5mW allowed on ebay, anywhere.

Those FP lasers are pretty inconsistent a lot of the time. Members have ordered 50mW lasers and got 60mW out of them, and then others order the same laser and get 5mW out of it. No, the laser you mentioned is most likely not made by WL, and even if it was, the output will still be random. There's really no way to know who manufactures this laser, as companies like FP have thousands of manufacturers.

Pontiacg5, it's easier than you think to get lasers on Ebay; you just have to be careful how you word it. Members have done it many times before.

First of all, you don't want a "full" beam for a presentation, and the dot from a 5mW laser would be plenty visible. The only way you can achieve a clearly visible and noticeable beam is with smoke/fog. If this laser is just going to be for presentations, get the Laserglow Lyra; if you want to have some fun with a high powered laser at home, get either the LEDshoppe 50mW pen (cheap), or the Optotronics 30mW that you linked (quality parts). I would stay away from Rayfoss pens under 50mW.

@ palmer, If you'll pay the S&H costs, I'd be more than happy to help you out & test your lasers power out-put on my LASERBEE I LPM. I live in INDIANA, so if you live close by, S&H won't cost much. If you live far from me, then perhaps you'll want to find someone who lives closer to you to keep the S&H costs low. I'm available for the testing whichever way you choose to go. rob

Just found this site and i would like to know which of these lasers would be the best one to buy.

I would like a laser that has very far visibility and if possible be able to pop balloons. I think its 100mW for popping balloons?

here are some i have found. (if the 100mW wont be enough for balloons then i wont bother) i am also only interested in pen style lasers

These are the green ones

RF532-100mW-BHP

RF532-100mW-LBP

RF532-50mW-BHP

RF532-50mW-LBP

532nm Green Laser Pointer Pen 50mW

I like the idea of a blue/violet laser better than a green but i wonder is the visibility higher or lower? if it is lower i dont want to bother.

RF405-50mW-BLP

50mW won't pop balloons, 100mW can pop them focused, and 200mW can do it unfocused. The visibility of a violet laser will be MUCH lower. Greenies have the brightest beams, violets have some of the dimmest. I don't think you will be able to do much of anything with a 100mW pen, just because you can't focus them easily. I would look at this: www.rayfoss.com

It may seem pricey at first, but 18650 batteries will last way longer, and it's easily focusable, so it should instantly pop dark balloons.

Im gonna scrap the balloon popping idea, so which of the 50mW that i listed would be the best to buy. I dont want to get one of the fancy ones that got the safety and such. I like relying on regular batteries and like the easy push-button.

So are any of the 50mW that are actually reliable as 50mW

I have popped balloons with a 50mW laser, but it takes a lot of preparation, will only work on some balloons, needs to be focused, a good set of fresh batteries etc..
