Oh yeah... I'm surprised you only have two! But I really just need a high power and low power for each wavelength and I'm good.

That's a really good list! The Lyra and Core are definitely the best pointers you can buy (although it did seem a bit unnecessary to have both Lyra's).

Looking for a good-quality astronomy pointer, and I could tell most of the internet ads were bogus. Your list was a HUGE help... just what I needed. Thanks so much!!:thanks:

Now, I'm looking at Kaidomain's inventory on green lasers. And they have '200mw' green laser pens, which I know to stay away from. But then they have 200mw greens that aren't pens, and look like a pretty legit laser. I found one that's $59, and the same one that comes with batteries and charger for $89,and againf or $99....here's the link for the $89 one:
http://www.kaidomain.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ProductId=9610

$99 one:
http://www.kaidomain.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ProductId=9615

But it IS Kaidomain we're talking about. You can bet it won't put out 200mW. It does look well built, but seeing as Rayfoss sells equally good hosts with guaranteed output, I would stay away from those.

Go ahead and contact DX; if the laser is defective they should send you a new one without question. However, I can't guarantee that the new laser will be any better than the first.

50mW FOCUSED could pop a balloon with sharpie on it, but my 125mW green struggles to light a match. I would get the Rayfoss even if DX does send you a new one, they're just that much better.

DX has answered my mail. they say that is best that i go to local store and let them fix the laser and then DX will pay. That would be a great idea... if i find a local store . Or i just buy the focusable 50mw Rayfoss laser :yh: But what if the Rayfoss laser is same as the DX :undecided:

That's strange, I've never even seen a store that sells lasers. But you said the laser is underpowered- not broken, right?

Believe me, you will be very happy with the RF. And I know from my and other's experience that she will replace any defective unit, whatever the reason. The companies are completely different.

Q:What is the details of Warranty?

A:In 3 Month=>For any quality issue happened in the first 3 month after you received the item Rayfoss would repair and exchange new one for you in charge free. Under this term Rayfoss will bear the re-shipping fee and buyer needs bear the return shipping. If the quality issue is caused by user's improperly operation Rayfoss will charge on main replaced components.

A:In 6 month=>For any quality issue happened in the first 6 month after you received the item Rayfoss would repair and fix it and only charger on the main components cost.
Under this term buyer needs bear both way shipping.

BTW, this laser is on sale during March:

Don't forget these they have great prices at focalprice and at dhgate but dhgate has some really high outputs for EXTREMELY low prices which seems as if they will work for 10 minutes. These are probably overspec but worth a shot. Tell me if u order from them what they really are.
