You should wear goggles when using an X-100 for burning stuff or you will fry your eyes. Without goggles all you can do with it is point it around outside.

You will be able to see the beam very easily at night and you can see the dot on buildings over 1 mile away. If you can't afford an X-100+goggles you should buy an X-75+goggles. It really isn't safe messing around with >50mw lasers indoors without eye protection.

You should easily be able to see the beam of an X-25 but you can forget about lighting matches or popping balloons. The X-25 should be safer to use inside as long as you use common sense.
Laserglow is good but they don't sell any high powered pointers and they are expensive.

ok whats the differance between the nova x25 and the nove alpha25 ?????
The alpha25 costs more and is bigger. It also has a longer duty cycle and includes a 5 point safety system which is very annoying. The only good thing about the alpha other than the longer duty cycle is the fact that it takes AAs instead of AAAs.
