i ordered one a week ago and when i turned it on ( with fresh AAAs), the dot was about as bright as a 5mw red!!

i told them about it and they shipped another on for free.

i received it today and it still is a REALLY dim dot, not even a beam at night.

it says right on the warning sticker that the green laser is 5mw IIIa

but my Ebay green laser says 5mw IIIb

is the geeks laser less bright cause of the rating of IIIa?

or are these laser units are deceptive ripoffs?

here's the link to it, and tell me what you think.

LOL - You spent $18 for a laser pointer Pen from a place called "Computer Geeks", and you expected more than what you got? You can't be serious.

The ad even says "Deluxe". That old marketing word alone, not to mention the website and the price, spells "cheap junk" in any language.

Is it fun for you? it`s a new user, and maybe he is not as smart as you. Maybe you should help or keep your mouth closed instead of laughing about new users... ..

My guess is that your other "5mW" is more than 5mW. I recently bought a 5mW from a chinese website and it is 20mW. My laserglow "5mW" is much less bright.

I looked at the add....

Does your Laser emit Green Laser Light...
If the answer is Yes... then you got what was advertised...
Nowhere on that page you linked to is the Power output Quoted...
Even if your laser only puts out 1/2 mW... the add is still correct...

You even got 2 lasers for under $18.00... I think you got a bargain..
If you would like to get a High Powered Laser then you would need
to read the Advertising and the Power output specs of the seller...

Try O-Like or Rayfoss... they quote the power of their lasers...

BTW.....

Reading is a good thing....
