Those are all LiMn unprotected cells. That particular chemistry is lower in voltage than the Li-ion batteries. The pump diode needs only ~2.2 Vf, so a single cell will work fine, but I would go for the protected cells in this case. An unprotected 50 amp drain battery is just over kill on a DPSS laser pointer.

Source, please.

Yes, source please.
I'm open to suggestions. I have a Class 4 405nm laser in which I use Efest that why I said that brand to begin with, but I'm open to suggestions. for instanc > http://www.batteryjunction.com/klarus-26650.html

My mistake. I was confusing this battery with a LiFePO4, which has the lower charge voltage. These are charged to ~3.6 volts. The manganese chemistry charges to 4.2 just like the LiCoO2 batteries which were more popular in the past. Please disregard my earlier post.

What's the issue? They are all acceptable. I can't see how you would notice any difference between the 3.

My concern is would a protected battery fit? I think I've found the answer which is yes, since magnet spacers are to be used if 18650 are used.

Cyparagon, why not join in on the fun and post some of your own laser projects and toys too? I only see you posting to help a member when they say something wrong.

Thanks, Chris. That does seem to be the only time I see him post. It would be nice to see him do anything else. That'll be the day. :tired:

Paul mis-stated something. There was a possibility he was correct,
but I wanted proof. He had none and retracted the statement.
Great! Everyone is better off now. I was going to leave it at that,
but some of you want to make a scene. So be it.

It would be nice to see him do anything else. That'll be the day. :tired:

Don't pretend you're upset because I don't post my projects. There are countless other members that don't post projects on a regular basis. I don't need to justify my lack of... "project posting" to the likes of you.

No one likes being wrong, but think of it this way instead: You're not wrong any longer.

I only see you posting to help a member when they say something wrong.

The alternative is not being corrected, and therefore complacency in propagation of misinformation and lies. If you've got a problem with correction, then f:)ck you.

Cyp, I think what they're getting at is that you're not very merciful to mistake. I've seen you be pretty harsh when giving someone a correction, which is often unnecessary.

Also, go easy on the cursing :tsk:

You've got unbelievably thin skin if you think "source, please" Is somehow unmerciful.

Maybe I should clarify. I meant in general, not in this instance.

Also, you're just proving my point about being unnecessarily harsh, I really don't think you needed to call my skin "unbelievably thin" just because I called you unmerciful, unless it somehow makes you feel better...

I think I should post this here as I posted it elsewhere. There was an old thread on the Ebola virus where Cyparagon made a statement that viruses are incurable. It was a misreading of a Wikipedia article on viruses. I called him out on it as I knew for a fact that viruses are and were curable with medication. He made a point of negatively repping me twice in three days time, even though he was wrong. Anyone who would like to peruse this old thread will see what I mean. In the end, he stopped posting to it, but never admitted his mistake. Also, in order to do this to me in three days time, he was going back and positively repping old accounts from years ago that were no longer active. The system would then allow him to negatively rep me again in just three days.
