I did have a 55mw executive laser from wicked and I was at the all good music festival and some guard stole it from me while everyone else had them. I ordered an arctic on the 20th or so of this month and have been really anxous to get another laser in my hands so I just went online and found a cheap green laser on another site to hold me off untill the arctic because I knew if I ordered from wicked it would still be a while before I got that one. Please give me your opinion on the one I bought if you know anything about it because i sure the hell don't. I know it's probaly going to be a peice of shit but hell for 50 bucks It was worth a try.

Buy 200mW 532nm DC 3V Open-back Green Laser Pointer at GadgetTown.com

Also i think it is halarious that gadgettown is actually marketing their's as a star wars lightsaber. haha and lucas had to come after wicked after building the best laser avaiable to cusumers because he's has ran out of ideas to make money. haha

Looks like a good deal. Finding batteries may be a bit of a chore unless you already have rechargeables.

damn i thought it came with a rechargeable battery, well i think walmart sales these type of batteries but they are pretty expensive, like 10 bucks for one. The cool thing about gadgettown is that they are located in new york so you really don't have to worry about customs to much.

Can they lie and say that it is a 200mw laser. I figured it would be 200mw but it would burn out before long.

On a Chinese website? Who's stopping them. Yes, they can. And they do. This laser MIGHT be in the 100-120mW range. A lot of them end up being around 30mW though. (Especially this host, which probably includes the same module as the units sold on Focalprice and the like.) - I have a few of them. They aren't bad lasers, if you ignore the specs and just take them for what they are - a $50 green.

Where did you get that? They have a call center presence in New York, but so does Wicked Lasers. And maybe their US presence is "headquartered" there, but these are chinese lasers that will most likely be drop shipped upon order from China. They may have some in stock, but I'd bet they'll ship direct from China like Focalprice, DX and BestOfferBuy do.

Either way, it's still a chinese laser, (one many of us have seen before), from a company that imports from china. It won't be 200mW. All that means is they ordered a few ahead of time. Look at the specs, "Max 200mW".

Laser Wavelength 532nm
Max. Output 200mW

They say nothing about minimums.

I just hope it is more powerful than my 55mw executive laser from wicked. Has nobody had any experience with this company. I saw a link at the bottom of this forum for them.

Some discussion on them here but nothing really conclusive, except for a few people who did receive underspec lasers.

General concensus of "if it's too good to be true, it probably is."

I bought a 30mW from them a while ago, the output is inconsistent sometimes, and it didn't come with a charger like they said it would, but they were nice about it and gave me $5 to get one off ebay. The build quality is actually great.

They have "100mW" lasers under $30. I doubt that's possible. If it was true, I would be all over some of them.

i had ordered a "200mW" red once, and received a "50mW" green start pointer that came out at 5mW.... so be careful is all.

Anyone can advertise here, for the most part - advertisement being here isn't LPF condoning a company's products.

I'm not trying to give you crap, Wilcox, I'm just saying, if we could actually get 200mW 532s for $48, everyone in this forum would be all over them.

might the lasers that are under spec. just need to have the pot adjusted for a higher out-put?

or are they fixed/ non-variable?
