The thing about most 532nm goggles. They don't block 808nm or 1064nm. Most cheap greens aren't IR filtered, so it's possible to get hit by a reflection by the IR and not even know it until it's too late.

You can test them against green fairly effectively just by holding them up and shining the laser through them on the wall. If the green dot is gone or dim, the googles are probably ok against 532nm. If the dot is bright then they likely suck.

On the subject of the IR.. the only two options there are really to get goggles that block IR as well as green.. (expensive usually) or the cheaper option.. just add an IR filter to your green laser.
