cmak --- I see the words " probably, If I get some money, I'm REALLY interested, that's a great deal, etc etc etc" all the time here posted by people who only exist behind a keyboard.
You should by now have at least a 50 mW green on which to base some of your observations and comments.

I have owned a 95mW DL Viper for quite a long time now, and I never mentioned "If I get some money" or "that's a great deal" at all. I'd appreciate it if I was taken a little more seriously than that, and sent you a detailed PM regarding it.

however I totally understand and can relate to your skepticism, and frankly there isn't much more that I can do that I haven't already done to calm it. I hope you find the PM insightful.

peace & thanks

someone should make a "gatling" laser where each of the little barrels as an individual powerful greenie. turning them all on at once would be pretty sweet methinks :) ... but expensiveeeee!

My 200mw model is waiting at the post office on campus. I'll pick it up tomorrow and consider writing a short review of it. It just unfortunate since I don't have an LPM. We need someone with a meter to test one of these out. Mike, may I send it to you sometime to get it metered? You're the member nearest me.

I really don't have much to do with my life right now besides school and my spring break starts up next monday so if you want you can send it to me (first class mail would still get it to me in like 3 days) and I can LPM it for you! If mike is too busy or for any reason doesn't want to :p

I saw it, the unit seems to be a lot larger than I pictured it! I'll be posting some results on power (susie emailed some numbers to me), divergence, aperture spot size, temperature changes, etc. This could be a very nice unit, not to mention its my first DPSS.

My Gatlin showed up today too!:D

It fits my hand perfect and is even nicer than I expected. For some reason I expected the three rings holding the gatlin barrels to be seperately machined pieces added to the inner host body. High quality and a work of art to boot.

Unfortunately I also expected a printed sheet with the output, etc. to be enclosed with the laser so I didn't ask Susie to test it when I bought it, I just asked her to send the best one she had in stock[ they had 7 at that time] .So I have no idea of the actual output.:(

I can light a red match at 3 feet in 2 seconds,4 feet in 8 seconds and nothing at 5 feet . . . even a black sharpie won't help at 5 feet. Only slightly more reach than a lighter with <200 mW with fully charged battery. I expected a bit more than this.

How does this compare with your <200 mW Gatlin Meatball?

An LPM may have to go on the shopping list too, had no idea that I needed one until I joined LPF.

Depending where you live if you want I can LPM it for you and give you a reading on the output. Just a thought! I'm here to help!

Thanks for the offer swimminsurfer256 but I'm in Canada and I don't want to risk it with customs or even Canada post for that matter. You would love it though, it's a beauty.

The original Gatlin gun was a machine gun with multiple barrels and it turned as it shot. These are just made to resemble that design and the extra cooling that it provides is bonus.

Ohhh not a problem! Well the offer still stands to anyone else! And you could probably get it through as a "5mW Green laser Pointer" if you don't have a sticker on it.

I still think it would be really really cool to have it where each of the barrels is a laser in itself!!! that would look soooo tight!

oh yeah! that would be really sweet!
something like 8 diodes pointing 8 beams! - it would be even more great if there would be the option to focus these beams slightly - creating a death-star-like effect, can u get me?
ahh.. be it - i saw the video and didn't like that unit very much... too big...
