These were taken in my office with daylight. The laser is set at the lowest power (1 of 9). The blue LEDs on the Beast are a nice setting, and the brand of DVD-RW is fitting, eh? A friend had given me the Obiwan figure years ago. Concerned, he seems.

Here, I donned my safety glasses and aligned the beam upon the base of a crystal sphere. Dazzling effect. The intensity made the grey carpet appear brown in the photo. By the way, I could tell peripherally, as soon as the beam hit the crystal, how dangerous it may have been to do this without the glasses (goggles) on!

I hope you enjoy these. I'll be adding to the collection!

Regards,

That is one very cool looking computer, and nice beam shotz too. Was this shot taken without any beam enhancers in the air?

Nah, no intended enhancement. There may have been some residual cigarette smoke about, though. Fairly bright daylight was filtered through closed (white) blinds, and a desklamp was on.

Thanks Gryphon, the computer (the Beast) is pretty cool. Since I do graphics and 3D modeling/raytracing, I need an awesome machine. Methinks that this new laser hobby will steal some of that time, tho!

Regards-

Wow. This comp look goods
i cant tell wich is brighter between rpl and starwars saber.

Say it ain't so! A machine that nice and your using it for work instead of Games....lol.

Nice beam shots man. Welcome to the forums :)

lol, thanks Lasher.

But I don't consider it work (and never been into games, anyway).

:thanks:

Nice, your camera is like it was made for beam shots, i usually have to use something to bring out the beam regardless.

I have a relatively inexpensive Nikon CoolPix S220 (got it on sale at BestBuy). Not fancy, and for these shots, I just turn off flash (I guess that's a given) and set ISO down to 400 or 800.

that's such an awesome first laser. My first laser was a PHR, $15, lol

You might as well change the Class in your sig to IV becuase if it's Opto, it's overspec :)
