Does anyone know how to do this? I can't figure out how without destroying the case,

No way!

The module epoxied and pressed in to the top, which is epoxied and pressed into the bottom.
If you twist the top, you will break the diode/driver.
If you apply too much force, you will scratch the case or crush it.

I recommend removing the lens and IR filter first, as to much stress may break them.

First, you should create a tool to use to remove the lens nuts.
The lens nuts have two holes on the surface. The tool you use should fit easily into both these holes, be strong enough not to bend or break while you turn it, and not sharp, so there is not as much risk in scratching the lens.

Take off the aperture cap.
You need to scrape off all the glue holding the lens nut in place around the threads. I use an exacto knife.
After that, it simply unscrews.
The IR filter is trickier. It is not glued in place, but the holes are not on the side accessible to you.
I use a Dremel with a wood engraving attachment to drill small holes to fit the lens removing tool into.
Once you drill the holes it should come right out.
Be careful, because the dust from the drilled out aluminum may scratch the IR filter.
If you can, remove the IR filter from the nut before you drill it out.
It is glued onto the nut with a soft, rubbery silicone gel or something.

Vibrations and heat from drilling may damage the crystals or diode so be very careful and to not drill too hard and allow the module to cool down.

DO NOT HANDLE THE LENSES WITH ANYTHING THAT MAY SCRATCH OR DIRTY THEM (Like Pliers or your fingers)
If you break/scratch the lens, it will cost you $40 for a replacement from NOVA.
The IR filters are $10.
Be careful.

Once the lenses are out...
Remove the button. Carefully. Do not use pliers as they may rip it.
I wrap a strip of cloth around the top and wiggle it out with pliers.
You can also use the "wood block method" to take it out, but this may mar the finish or pull the module out too quickly and damage it.
DO NOT TWIST.
It takes a long time but take your time and don't rush, or you'll break something important.

Once you have the top off with the module inside, you can press the module out.
I'll let you find a clever way to do it yourself.
Do not press from the back of the module because you may break the diode/driver if it slips.

If you are not comfortable with the risk of breaking an expensive laser, or and not sure if all this makes sense, do not attempt to take it apart.
These lasers were designed NOT to come apart, so disassembling it is tough and could result in breaking something you need.

Wow, I was going to practice with a 5mW CNI, but I think I'm better off buying the modules from SandStone11.
Thanks
