Why is there a $100 difference? (in the 100mW versions?)

Who sells them? The difference would be quality control. The $100+ one would probably be guaranteed to be over spec and in excellent working condition. The other one, maybe not so.

Lucent optics sells the Envee and Nova lasers sells the alpha. Do you think if I ask Lucent optics to measure the power of it, would they? (If I buy from them)

I just noticed that the alpha is out of stock. :-/
