Has anyone heard about the OX-G301 green laser? Nearly everything that is said about it says it's a 200mW, soooooo I'm guessing its a 50-200. I snagged one on impulse from eBay, but with eBay bux came to 7 bucks. This thing won't blow up in my face will it? Lol tho my violet cheapo has been my best one so far.

Why even ask about these kinds of lasers? They're just cheap overspec lasers in some random host. I don't even know why their sellers even name them. If you want it, buy it. But don't make a thread asking whether some you-get-what-you-pay-for laser is worth buying because you should already know the answer.

I asked because I was curious about it. I had already bought it so yeah I obviously wanted it. I'll make what ever thread I want to pal, got it?

After you receive it you should post it to someone in your area who has an LPM to meter it... And even make a review for other users

Actually I hope to get my own LPM, ESP since I want to build my own. I def will make a review of it, and the Rayfoss I'm still waiting to ship.

Got it in, wasn't paying attention as it doesn't come with a battery. Question tho, there are zero markings on this thing on which way the battery should go, and I sure as heck don't want to fry the diode. Are these typically negative to the spring, positive to the end cap? Logically given the design it what I would think, buuuuuut don't want to risk it.
Now onward to find a good Panasonic battery I won't have to wait a month to get har har.

I finally got my LPM and tested my 2 dozen plus fleabay pens ( and all the rest of my lasers) all colors and they all are over spec by as much as 90mw so its the luck of the draw order enough you will get one with some grunt at stuff all price most average 15mw instead of the 5mw advertised

This one sure is bright, and burned the black parts of the cigarette box. So yeah def overspec. Tho I think sellers do that for PayPal and customs.
Ill be doing a review soon after I get a LPM. The funny thing is when I aim the laser at the ceiling, a reflection comes back on me that looks like green white noise. What the heck is that?? I've never seen such a thing before (this is my first green tho)

WELL, considering that none of the members here is the person you bought it from,.....maybe you should think about emailing THE SELLER, instead of asking questions HERE, about which members here can only speculate.:wtf:

Another point...use the search function.

Since these cheap lasers can have any of a variety of driver boards, it's not possible for anyone else to say with certainty what the polarity needs to be. Try installing the batteries one way and turning it on BRIEFLY (like for a second or less). That way, if they are in backward, you minimize the chances of frying it if it lacks reverse voltage protection.

If you don't get a beam out of it, then flip the batteries and try it again.

SO.........learn by doing.

Good luck.:D

Nice edit, I saw your original message. My cheapest Chinese crap as you so put it was a mere curiosity. As is the nature of my question. ESP the "white noise" thing.
Second of all I bought this cheap crap simply because of the fact it was cheap, and it's doing quite well thank you.
Another point being is that ill ask whatever question I see fit, got it? Lazy? Whoooo that'a a rich one. How dare you call someone you don't even know lazy. How about doing something worthwhile and actually answer the questions in reference instead of going on some non-productive, worthless rant? Hmmmm? Vent elsewhere, on my threads stay productive.

TRYING TO BE NICE>>>>>>>>

You are new here, so we usually cut people A LITTLE slack. however if every member on here posted a new thread on every chinese laser they bought there wouldn't be anything else. So you have to see the point of those who have been on here a long time!

You can already find threads on a number of cheap chinese knockoff lasers. The green USUSALLY have the batteries in backward (USUALLY).

Almost all cheap 405's you buy are over spec. There are several threads on $3-10 cheap greens that are overspec. And you can guarantee that there is no IR filter, so a good percentage is probably IR and not the 532nm.

532's look brighter to the eye, so people prefer them. My 200mw green appears brighter than a much more powerful 650-660 I have. Scary even

Please, as others said, try the search function first. Lots of us get tired of repeating the same thing for every single new member!

And if you really want to get railed on - go over to PL and they will eat you up and have you for lunch :D
