DX true new wish 30mw green laser very weak?

I just got the DX true new wish 30mw green laser from DX.

I don't know what to make of it.

I have seen video and forum posts where people can see the beam in day light, pop balloons marked with a sharpie, light matches etc.

However, I can only see the beam lightly in the dark, it won't pop balloons or light a match.

I know some have said that it needs a lens to light a match, but frankly I can't even feel any heat if I shine the point on my finger.

the sticker near the top says 30mw, but is it likely that something may be wrong with the laser?

I only ask because of the video and such I have seen.

Any help would be appreciated!

30mW isnt powerful enough to do several of the things you mentioned...
im not sure what people said in the videos you saw ,,,,but without fog/diffusion smoke...its difficult for me to see my 400mW green laser beam in daylight

In that second video of yours the guy used something to bring out the beam, probably like spray deodorant or something like that.

You make have to put a focusing lens like a magnifying glass in front of your laser to get a balloon pop.
