I have older e2 cells in my DX 200.  so here's what I just read.

Peak Total output --- 157.6 mW
IR Output ---   5.86 mW

My DX200 has gone as high as 206 mW Peak total output on new cells.  It doesn't have as tight a beam as the DL95 or DL125 but it is bright.

That is less IR than I had thought. Though the numbers show that at least the 200 is not ready for prime time. Any stats on the 100 and 150?

If you're concerned about a 200mw being able to light a match unaided, STOP. My DX 20mw lights matches with a lens and under the right conditions.

I like their lasers, oh yea and my 50mw order status just changed to shipped.

Lighting matches unaided was relatively easy for my 100mW NewWish lasers. Unfortunately I can't match Aseras's beam spec claims as all of my NW 100s have seemed to exceed 2mRad, whereas my RPL seems to be <0.8mRad. I don't think the difference in spot size is anywhere near large enough ot compensate for that. :(

Hello I bought a ebay 50mw green laser and it did not burn anything and one day broke so I took it apart and first there was a collimator lense then a peice of glass, then a crystal. Is the glass peice an IR filter? If so could I put it in the Dx 200mw?

Thanks,

Is the glass bluish or cyan colored (I think all IR filters are blue)
like the one seen here?

Would you spare the $20 for double power? Didn't think so... :p[/quote]

It's not a matter of money, it's a matter of getting what I pay for; in other words, principle.  I'm no 14 year old kid looking for cheap lasers with my allowance money. I've mentioned my feelings on getting what I pay for before, so please read more carefully in the future before posting insulting comments like yours.
