DX 5mW Keychain

Just bought this keychain 5mW greenie from DX
Chromed Mini 5mW Green Laser Pointer Keychain (1*CR1/3N) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme

The thin beam and the small bright dot amazed me, so i decided to calculate the divergence.

It's 0.95mRad using pseudo's mRad calculator.

I don't have LPM, but I'm pretty sure this put out at least 25mW of pure green with fresh batteries, as i had a <5mW greenie before.

532nm with 0.95mRad divergence for $16 is not bad at all.

Is the beam visible in a moderately lit room ?- Looks like it from the photo.

Also , can this be left on for 5 or 10 minutes because of the low heat ?

I have this laser now.

yea it is slightly visible in a moderately lit room.

I would not leave it running for more than a few minutes... There is no real need to. The laser does seem to get warm though
