Hello, Ive read several times about these lasers crapping out and stuff but the price is too good to pass up so I compulsively purchased one.  ;) I have heard that there is an IR filter, but the company says there isnt one. So whats the deal with this laser? Am I getting 95% IR when I fire it up?

Also this is a really nice forum by the way! Glad I stumbled on it before I bought a WL laser.

Some have an IR filter and some don't. They only way to tell is to look at the IR with a camera or measure the laser with a power meter.

if you're worred about IR, i run a service that checks lasers for power output and IR leakage, check out my thread in the buy/sell/trade section if you're interested

Even if it does have IR don't be too worried about it. Just don't shine it in your eye and you'll be fine.
