If I wanted a green laser to make my own laser show, I think the laser would need a high duty cycle so you can keep the thing running. How many mw's can a laser for a laser show have without causing damage to peoples eyes (assuming the laser is bouncing off a mirror or two), like if I wanted to make one in the house for example. Can anyone recommend some lasers for this? thanks :)

IF you had adequate cooling/and or heatsinking, even a pointer can be used for a long duty cycle! for the eye damage thing, if you are using fog and the room is biggish, i would say no more than 20mw would be good, but if it is a small room with no fog, <10mw would be ok, although unless the laser show can do text/anitmations fog is pretty much nessecary. tak into mind also, that if your country has laws about lasershows, and yours doesn't meet the requirements, you could get hit with a nice fine if they find out!
