I wished I had asked before I made my decision.
From what I understand, this forum is not very pro Dragon Laser, Wicked Lasers or TechLasers. Everyone seems to have a grudge against one company or another.

The ones that seem to be recommended are Nova, Laserglow and optotronics. ]

But someone has something bad to say about them all.

I've dealt with Techlasers and it was horrible. I've dealt with Optotronics and it was a whole lot better.
Do your research, or just wait and see where this thread goes.

Dragon and Nova sell similar lasers from the same company. However, Dragon Lasers are absolute scammers - they hype up their power figures to make a quick buck. I'd go with Nova if I had to choose between the two.

If you had to choose between yourself, Dragon and Nova, which would you choose ;)

I'm actually serious. If you have better products (And i don't know either way), then say it if it's true and doesn't break the forum rules

Understand...the "Grudge" as you call it, comes from people loosing their hard earned money!

It's not like someone just threw a dart at a list of laser suppliers and decided that they Sucked!

I got off Easy..only lost 80 bucks on a POS Extreme Lasers EL-20...!!
Some here have lost several Hundred dollars!

Of the three WL, TL, and DL...DL is the only one I would even look at!

And Yes..I think we are very Lucky to have 3 Proven sources!
Laserglow
Optotronics
Nova

But everyone needs to decide for themselves where to spend their Money!

Personally, I am a Huge Nova Fanboy...Yes..I completely admit that...
But this is only because Nova has so impressed me with their Products and service!

Good Luck to you!!!

Ah yes. Don't worry, I understand this completely, despite my recent interest in lasers. I ordered from Techlasers, and they botched my order. Big time. They agreed to do a full refund, but I wasted a lot of time and the price of shipping their product back to them. They dicked me around for 5 weeks. I had my laser from optotronics within a week. If I ordered from Laserglow (or is it Nova), they could have had the laser to me within a few days since we're just a couple hundred miles away from each other.

Go nova.... the only thing you will be disappointed with is the batteries that you use in your new nova laser like I was.... darn thus 5 year old NiMH 2300mah energizers..... but other than that I am happy with my alpha and am going to be even happier when I pop in my 2 hours old Duracell 2650mah nimh batteries : ) cant wait to get em off the charger.... but yes this is a good form and they do favor the top 3 laser companies as their are a lot of reviews on here about every company you had listed and more and those 3 seem to have the best reviews because they take care of their customers. Though it’s your choice in the end whiter to go with the cheaper TL or the more expensive nova. Just know if you go with nova you will never be let down and all your questions will be answered quickly. Just my personal experience: )

Just received my X105 from Nova, here is my experience:

Ordered the one with the case with a discount code and and free shipping, total cost was around $210. Shipping took 5 days from Toronto to Los Angeles, not at all bad considering it was free. Received the package as advertised, with complete instructions and output clearly marked:

Peak Output Power:        126.7 mW
Average Output Power:   120.1 mW

They also threw in a complimentary Diffraction Grating optic.
All that in addition to the membership, discont on accessory purchases, etc, defintaly makes this a great value.

Oh, and last but not least, X105 performance is remarkable. I only had a day to play with it so far, but I'm definately impressed...

I was considering TechLasers at first since price was an issue but after doing my reasearch and reading many many posts on varios laser forums decided to go with Nova and glad I did.  :D
