Tomorrow I should get my CNI PGL-M 532nm Spartan from Twhite. I don't plan on using 2 cr123a's on it, but it's a piece of information I'd just like to know. Does CNI make their drivers so it will work with 2 cr123a's? or does it atleast have some sort of protection from killing it?
The only reason I'm wondering this is because I've noticed that the new 447nm spartans were redesigned to fit 2 cr123a's, and the new 532nm PGL-M's coming from CNI also have this new design, which will be the one I'm getting from Twhite.

No.
The driver is designed for 4.2-3.6V from an 18650.
Powering it with 6V+ is not a good idea.

use one cr123 and one spacer cr123 battery
the spacer looks like a battery but actualy just conducts the power from the frst battery but it wont last long like 1 16850
