Miguel,

I was reading many posts on this forum (which is great BTW),
and from what I can see many people are trying to sell their products, or they are too busy lobbying for some of many online stores.
That's fine, because everything is about business.

It is very hard to get useful information that you are looking for.

Still , there are bunch of people on this forum who are willing to help and provide right information.

I will try to help, but first I will need you to answer a few simple questions:

1. Will your high power laser have infra red ( IR ) filter built in?

If you don't know do not hesitate to ask your seller.

first of all, my first green laser is a laser pen from Dealextreme and many people said that this laser is 70mw, and i don't think that this laser have any IR filter.

but, i found this glasses that can protect me well, http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Protection-Goggles-Laser-Safety-Glasses-Green-Blue-/120511804715?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c0f10352b#ht_3177wt_864]New Protection Goggles Laser Safety Glasses Green Blue - eBay (item 120511804715 end time Mar-24-11 16:13:04 PDT[/U])

but, these glasses haven't got any IR filter.
Why do i need an IR filter?,
the IR rays are so bad?

Yes,
Infra-red part of green laser beam is the pretty much main reason why you really need goggles that also protect you from IR wavelengths or/and IR filter when working with lasers 80mW and up. I did mention only green lasers, because violet, blue or red lasers do not have that infra-red “ingredient” in their light source.
Basically when buying glasses for your green lasers, and want to be completely protected make sure that following wavelengths are included in protective specter: 532nm, 808nm, 1064nm.
Some people will not agree that serious protection is needed only if you are working with 80mW and higher output power.

Goggles that you are referring to are basic protection against green laser beam - light ONLY.

To see real IR laser protection goggles you can type or copy and paste in Google search this:
