Just wondering. Because I have a 200mw red laser and it can barely light a match however it is probably underspec

Green lasers use a shorter wavelength than red ones and are absorbed quicker on darker materials. Light materials will be hard to burn with a red laser.

Does your laser focus?

my red one focuses and i havent gotten my green one yet (150mw) but i dont think it focuses. btw the red laser will not burn without focusing it and even at the focal point it is pretty bad

whmmm i am not sure about your reply lase but we will correct you soon =) , asfar i know is that green 532 is a color most difficult for burning as 405 is the best due the short wave length and 808 can come ina cheap price with a mega high power level, well a 200mW should burn a match instandly for all i know ( talking about 0.,5 second @ 150mW focused ! )

Just a tip. You can use a jewelers loop or a magnifying glass to focus your green laser :). Please be careful as glass reflects light. Hopefully you have a set of safety glasses for those wavelengths too!
